Questions, answered.

What areas do you cover?

We're based in Rotorua and work throughout the Bay of Plenty — including Ngongotahā, the lakes settlements, Tauranga and the western Bay — plus Taupō. If you're nearby and not sure, just ask.

Do you do both the building and the landscaping, or just one?

Both, and that's the whole point of Ingrained. Most builders stop at the wall line and most landscapers can't touch the house. We do both with one team, so decks, retaining, levels and paving are planned together with the build — no gaps and no finger-pointing between trades.

Do you charge for a quote?

No — an initial site visit and quote is free and no-obligation. We'll come and look, talk through what you want, and give you an honest read on what's realistic for your budget before you commit to anything.

Do I need a building consent, and can you handle it?

It depends on the work — many decks, retaining walls over 1.5m, extensions and new builds need a consent, while smaller jobs often don't. We'll tell you upfront what your project needs and can manage the consent process and council inspections for you as part of the job.

How far ahead should I get in touch?

The earlier the better — good trades book out, especially heading into summer. Getting in touch early means we can lock in your spot and, for bigger projects, get the design and any consents moving so we're ready to build when you are.

My section is steep or tricky — is that a problem?

It's what we do best. A lot of Rotorua and Bay of Plenty sections are sloping, wet or tree-covered. We handle the retaining, drainage and site works in-house before building on top, so a difficult site is a challenge we plan for rather than a reason to walk away.
